CBC India's EP250 conveyor belt is specified for heavy-duty bulk material handling applications where the EP200 grade reaches its tensile and span limitations under the system's actual operating tension, lump size, and conveyor center distance. Construction
The EP250 carcass is built from 4–6 polyester warp and polyamide nylon weft fabric plies, vulcanized with rubber skim layers between each ply to transfer inter-ply shear stress and resist delamination under the dynamic impact loads associated with 300 mm lump material at primary loading and transfer points. Standard designations — EP250/3 and EP250/4 — define the ply count for a given duty cycle, with configuration selected on the basis of required troughability, minimum pulley diameter, and impact resistance classification. Standard belt widths run 800–2,400 mm with roll lengths up to 800 m per section. Total belt thickness ranges from 12–16 mm with a reference mass of 15–22 kg/m².
The top cover is specified at 4–6 mm in DIN Grade Y compound as standard, with heat-resistant formulations available to 160°C for elevated-temperature material applications, oil and chemical-resistant grades for fertilizer and process material streams, flame-retardant variants compliant with ISO 284, and arctic-grade compounds rated to –50°C per DIN 22102 for cold-climate installations.
